Sadie McClelland

For over 10 years and since completing an MSc in the Psychology of Education at UCL in 2013, I have been working at a local primary school, supporting individuals and small groups of children with a range of learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyscalculia, learning delay, speech and language difficulties and English as an Additional Language (EAL). More recently, I have also worked as a tutor with the Action Tutoring education charity - working with children with special educational needs in years 5 and 6 throughout lockdown and beyond. I have therefore developed a passion for and expertise in supporting primary age children who face learning challenges. Having recently qualified as a Specialist Dyslexia Tutor and Assessor (Institute of Education, UCL) and gained AMBDA accreditation, my focus now is on helping and diagnosing children with a range of literacy difficulties at both primary and secondary stages.

Dyslexia advice - free 25-minute consultation

If you are a parent with concerns about your child’s progress in reading and writing, please get in touch for a chat to discuss how you can support your child at home and what/if options for further support are available. This might involve a discussion around your concerns, your child’s strengths and weaknesses (as well as their own perception of their learning) and possible ways forward. I can advise you on a range of dyslexia-friendly learning materials, books and games that can be used at home. If this sounds useful, please book an appointment.
